Rules and Regulations
Everyone has different ways to role-play, I get that, but I'm picky when I role-play. So here are a few guidelines I request.
I. Before starting a RP with me, just know that I'm one busy chick. I maybe a bit busy from business calls or random errands, yet I make up and repay you with a good post when I've returned. I'll also apologize or tell you otherwise if I'm going to be away for very long. So don't worry, you will be informed if such.
II. Reading my rules is a major key. Knowing that if a love interest blossoms between our characters it is between them only, not between us. If my character says "I love you" it is strictly role-playing and role-playing only. I can't express or stress that enough. If you get easily attached do not role-play with me. It would get me upset to know I'm being stalked for being liked when I don't have any feelings towards you at all, it was of my characters towards one of your characters. Also if some love interest were to happen between Character A and Character B, don't expect it to happen quickly in the story. Reason I say this is because I keep my Characters in the safe zone. Just like a worried mother would worry about who her children are with, I also am in the same situation. Some exclusions may apply.
III. Pick a character you are drawn to. My profile is under reconstruction at the moment to where I'll have basic information on my characters and or have other characters that help my main protagonist during their journey in our story.
Note: I will not place every detail about my characters for the fact and reason I don't want our role-play to get boring if you know to much on their background. You will figure out most of the struggles she or he has been through in due time.
IV. Yes female role-players, you are not excluded from role-playing with me. Though I have to make things clear... I don't do any boy love or girl love. Nothing against your sexual orientation, but as for me its not in my taste to do so. I apologize in advance. Yes, I do feel like being versatile is a must, but I'm not so versatile when it comes to boy on boy or girl on girl action. I would like to at least keep it not awkward for myself. Let us be truthful about the matter... no one wants to feel forced into something they do not feel comfortable with, enough said.
V. No God Modding. You will be either blocked or ignored for it. My characters are my characters and mine alone. I can't explain how much it bothers me when my character is being handled and controlled by someone other than myself. I know you would not enjoy me overpowering, controlling, or ignoring your decisions on how you want your character to think, speak, or act; So don't do it to me. Another thing, If in combat... Make it realistic... If your character is immortal and won't take a few hits than please expect me to hit that block button. Don't be a child. You can't just block all my attacks and expect me to be okay with it... Grow up. It isn't the end of the world if your character gets bruised here and there.
VI. Length choice... I will be brutally honest here. If you are a one liner type of role-player than this role-play is not for you. If you have a hard time at least sending a 5 to 7 sentence paragraph minimum, than we have a big problem. I like Para or Semi-Para role-playing. Nothing against you one liners... but the story can get really boring and makes me just stop role-playing all together. I've tried to role-play with one liners... and sad to say I always end the role-play maybe 10 minutes into the story... Sorry guys, not my piece of cake.
VII. Grammar, punctuation, and correct spelling is an issue with me. We are not all perfect, no one is a God so I'll accept small errors here and there because I myself make them. Though if I can't understand a word you're saying I will politely ask the first time to repost after you properly edit your post. If I still can not understand I will sadly end the role-play, no questions or doubts about it... Yeah. Sorry.
VIII. Look over your post before posting, please! I DISLIKE the use of symbols people use. Sure when I was a noob I'd do it all the time but that stopped after a few months. The symbols I'm talking about consists of... *-~=+ ... What are these?! Instead of symbols which drive me up the wall all you need are quotation marks. Quotation marks are my friends, so if you want to socialize with me and be my friend, then by all means welcome quotation marks into your life. I promise you after you use this method it will change your role-playing life. Post as if you are the author of your own book. You don't want your editor to look at all these crazy unneeded symbols now do you? How embarrassing is that? Also if your character thinking to themselves italics are made for self thought.
Example:
Use: Nothing for detail.
Use : "For speech."
Use: For when thinking to yourself.
Use: ( ) or [ ] for OOC and if you have a question about something you are not sure about.
IV. Be detailed. Honestly people who at least look like they are trying are my best friends. Not only does it look like you want to continue the story, but I know you are interested in it. The less you give me, the less I'm going to stay interested. I know sometimes it is hard to make an original idea come to life, but even things that have already been done can be fun and interesting. The better picture you paint for me, the more I will know what is going on and let us be honest, I don't want to anger you if I think you are going one way with the story when it isn't that way at all.
X. Lastly, have fun. I know these rules can be intimidating, I have been there myself, but its crucial in my case. Also, we are role-playing so go far and beyond your comfort zone. I did say go beyond, just don't dramatically over do it. Anyways, happy readings.
