Heir to the throneBefore Claire was, born her mother stayed at home to care for her own health. Her husband, Claire's father, was at war, fighting for his country and fighting for the freedom of his people. He was chosen to protect the king that the lower and middle classes from despised, yet it was told that he would give them protection from other ruling kingdoms. The King was a crude man, one with no honor and no sympathy for the poor or ill. Only caring for the Village that resided around this castle, he left the other neighboring villages in poverty. Claire's family was a victim to the king, being that of a neighboring village. Claire's mother awaited for her husbands arrival for a long while, till she received a letter implying that he had died during battle. Grieving for her husbands death for what seemed to be long months of depression grew ill. Her neighbors and friends aided her, for her child that would be born soon, but she wasn't interested in the child. Longing to be with her husband she committed suicide more than a handful of times, each time being unsuccessful. When the time came, Claire`Avis was born and brought into the world. The mother was happy when she laid eyes on her child, she placed a chain around the child's neck which read Claire`Avis Raven.
Sadly, her mother died a few moments after the young baby girl came into the world. Being now an orphan born in a poor village. None of the villagers had the money or time to care for the young girl. Instead, they knew of a traveler who desperately needed a child. They rushed the child to him, asking to raise the child and to make sure of her safety. He asked where they had gotten the child for they all told him before that no child was available. Once he discovered that she was an orphan, he took her in. He was one of the Kings Warriors and his majesty was with a son who would soon rule over the kingdom needed a bride. Taking the child back to the kingdom both the King and the young prince were over joyed by the news of the young child's stay. Looking at the necklace that was around the child's neck they read 'Claire`Avis Raven'. The name was nothing of a noble woman and after so many attempts at a new name they agreed on one. Years later the King introduced a young girl to the people of the kingdom. He introduced her as Clareise`Aveza Raveena Kriess, the new princess of The Kingdom of Kaoirien. She was a beautiful and peaceful minded young woman. She was only seven when she was introduced, not having any fear of being in front of the whole crowd of peasants. The Prince would treat her well, buying her everything any regular girl ever desired to steal her heart, but she disliked the idea of her in dresses, golden jewelry, and rubies. She felt out of place, as if she was meant for something greater. Everyone thought she was an abnormal child, which she was. The King was displeased of Claire's rejection towards her son that he would wake her up in the middle of the night to abuse her, not only physically, but sexually. After so many years of brutal abuse, a the age of sixteen she fled. The prince, regardless of being in a castle with her 'betrothed', knew nothing of the nightly visits his father was making to Claire's chamber. If only he had realized sooner he could have at least protected her from his father, for he loved her very much. Claire was to prideful in letting him know, so instead she packed and left before the King made his nightly visit. Leaving the castle she knew she wasn't going to be fed or clothed and that she would have to live a peasant life to regain herself. She ran away that night, leaving her royal life and entering the life of poverty. Later she takes shelter in that village she was born in, no one knowing that she was the child they had gave away for a better life. She told her story to the villagers, telling her of all the pain she went through and with open arms she was welcomed into a home, now having an adoptive mother, uncle, and grandfather. It seemed as though her prayers have been answered till she was informed of the knight's the king sent to look for her. The thought of her returning back to Kaoirien made her sick, and she wanted to be able to defend herself in combat. After her grandfather heard of this he sent a message to the village warriors to teach her defense in combat. Years of training with the young men of the village made her stronger, more than she was able to thank for. To this day Claire is hunted by many for a reward, it being over anyone's expectation. The reward adds up to a couple hundred thousand dollars. Many have a hard time finding Claire for she is protected by five demon warriors from her village that can sense anyone from miles away. Soon she wants to pursue her destiny, her five warriors tagging along to protect her when the situation demanded of it. While on the trail, her and her comrades where ambushed by a demonic force so great the warriors had no choice but to expose their true demonic identities to protect her from any harm. Unknowing for so many years of the hidden secret her village kept from her, she find out later that whole village society is filled with demons, her being the only human to co-exist among them. Shocked by the true fact of what her warriors had told her she under stood why they kept it from her. She was a mere mortal, and a demon would only be something to be feared. Regardless of there origin she accepted it, seeing as they were now her family, her kin. |
